Biography
In 2012, my family and I relocated to Alaska from Phoenix, Arizona. I spent my first 10 years in Anchorage at Hope Community Resources and the next four at International Aviation Service, holding a range of roles across both organizations. Of these, I most valued my time as the Employee Education Specialist at Hope, where I led corporate trainings and managed professional development initiatives.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Arizona State University, a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix, and a PhD in Management from Wayland Baptist University. I’ve also held an Arizona state teaching license and taught social studies for the Chandler School District in Chandler, Arizona.
Outside of my professional work, I’m deeply committed to martial arts. I help lead a local nonprofit karate school and volunteer annually at Camp Shriver through Special Olympics Alaska, teaching karate to individuals with developmental disabilities. I value time with my wife, Kelleen, our daughter, Tamae, and our miniature schnauzer, Max, and maintain active interests in travel, live music, and cooking.
I’m excited to begin my career at Lumen Christi! I hope to leverage my background and experience and combine it with my passion for teaching and helping others, while contributing to the school’s mission.
