Saint Francis University Dual Credit Opportunities
In 2026, Lumen Christi signed a Partnership for Excellence in the Advancement of Catholic Education (PEACE) agreement with Saint Francis University (SFU) in Loretto, Pennsylvania. This partnership provides Lumen Christi students with many benefits including:
- Guaranteed admission to all SFU general certificates, associates, or bachelor’s degree programs (3.0 GPA minimum).
- Guaranteed minimum scholarship range of $92,000-$134,000 over four years ($23,000-$34,000 annually) for traditional on-campus enrollment at SFU.
- Weighted consideration or preferential selection for a wide variety of SFU academic programs.
Additionally, through the Saint Francis College in High School program, Lumen Christi students can earn college credit by completing select Lumen Christi courses. These dual credit courses are courses taught at Lumen Christi by approved Lumen Christi teachers and contain the content of the equivalent course taught at Saint Francis University. The dual credit courses, as well as the approved instructors, meet the standards of the appropriate academic department at Saint Francis University. SFU credits are also fully transferrable, giving other colleges and universities the option to accept the SFU transcript towards a student’s application.
For 2026-2027 school year, SFU/Lumen Christi dual credit courses include:
- International Affairs (1 semester): Students who successfully complete this Lumen Christi course could apply to SFU to earn three (3) college credits for SFU course equivalent PLSC 103 World Politics. Tuition is $195 payable to SFU.
- British Literature (2 semesters): Students who successfully complete this Lumen Christi course could apply to SFU to earn three (3) college credits for SFU course equivalent LIT104 Introduction to Literature. Tuition is $195 payable to SFU.
Lumen Christi plans to add additional courses to this select list in the future.
UAF e-Campus Program
Through a memorandum of agreement with the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, LCHS students can take college courses while still enrolled in high school. This is designed for self motivated junior or senior students who desire to get ahead on their college credits or who are ready for extended coursework.
Students wishing to participate in this program need to meet individually with the Dean of Academics and fill in a course request form.
Courses taken through the UAF e-Campus program earn elective credit at Lumen Christi, to support students taking all of their core classes in person. Though some exceptions may apply, students should choose courses that broaden their academic repertoire and should not seek to supplant courses regularly offered by LCHS Faculty.
