9th Grader students meet at 7:15 for Mass tomorrow in the Chapel of the Archangels, and then head to the Holy Spirit Center for retreat!

Archangel Sports Update #Lumenproud:
The High School basketball season gets underway with the first practices for both teams on December 4. Please contact Coach Warren at athletics@lumenchristiak.org or 273-1513 if you’re planning on playing this upcoming season.

8th Grader Kateri Everard was recognized with the Gerard McDonnell Memorial Award at the last Ger McDonnell Ceili last weekend. She was nominated by her Irish dance teachers for her dedication to Irish dance and her community in general. She received $750 – mostly to be used to further her Irish dance aspirations – and a beautiful bodhran (an Irish drum). Congratulations on this honor, Kateri, we’re ever so proud of you!

LUMENary Drive
The annual LUMENary Drive has kicked off…and wow! We’re off to a great start! Thanks to early donors (some parents chose to contribute during back to school registration in August, thereby exempting themselves from any other solicitations!); 100% staff & faculty giving; and generous St. Benedict’s Parishioners, we’ve already raised $14,427 of our $50,000 goal. Nearly 30%! Please consider making your donation today in support of Catholic education.
Italian Exchange Student
Interested in housing a foreign exchange student? The Honorary Consul General for Italy contacted us and is trying to help secure housing for a 16 year old Italian girl named Georgia. Georgia will be in Anchorage from January-May, 2020 and wishes to be placed in a Catholic home. The Basketball Team is hoping to travel to several different tournaments this season but needs successful fundraisers to help make that happen! Every book purchased results in a portion coming back to the team. Thanks in advance for your support of their efforts.
Free Afterschool Tutoring
The National Honor Society is now offering free after school tutoring on Thursday afternoons from 2:30-3:30 pm in the Library. Any student, any subject, stop by for help!
