Principal’s Update:
Greetings from Healy, Alaska where our varsity soccer team is competing in the Tri-Valley Tournament! Our players are staying in the Holy Mary of Guadalupe Catholic Church in between games over the next few days. The fall colors are beautiful and there is a noticeable chill in the air. A small booster club group of parents is here to cheer our athletes on to victory.
Thanks to all students and parents who came to Kincaid on Tuesday to boost our High School team in the win against Holy Rosary Academy. I know our players appreciate your support.
We look forward to a Spirit Week next week as we approach Homecoming on Saturday, Sept 14th. Each day has a theme as follows:
-
Monday: Alaska Day (wear blue and gold)
-
Tuesday: Class Colors (students can find this on the Student Leadership Bulletin Board in the hallway.)
-
Wednesday: Patriot Day (wear red, white, and blue in honor of the 18th anniversary of 9/11)
-
Thursday: Mass Day (wear Mass uniform with dress shoes)
-
Friday: Flannel Friday
Our junior high students will enjoy a movie night on the 13th after the soccer game, while our high schoolers will dress to the nines for the Homecoming Dance on the 14th. We’re off to a great start this year!
