I was born in Florida, but as my father was in Coast Guard we moved around the United States until we landed in Kodiak Alaska, where I attended High School.
After High School I joined the Army and spent 3.5 years in Germany with a Pershing II missile unit. Soon after the Army, I started my 31 year career with UPS. Yep, the brown trucks. I was part of the Management team that over saw the state wide operations on a daily basis.
My wife, Rebecca and I moved around the state and spent time in Fairbanks, Juneau and 2 stints in Anchorage before moving to Idaho to round out my career. During that time I was responsible for the states of Idaho and Wyoming.
Before moving to Idaho, I was blessed to be part of the Saint Benedict’s parish for 20 years, where I offered the opportunity to work with small groups in High School Faith Formation. It was a natural fit for me on many levels. The depth of the questions asked never ceases to amaze me. I am learning with them and from them during every interaction.
I was part of the committee, all those years ago, that fund raised in the parish to build Lumen Christi. My son and his wife both graduated from Lumen, and I feel at home in the hallways. I am blessed to hear the joy that fills the halls between each bell.
I enjoy extreme activities like triathlons and marathons and early morning snow runs. My average time on the rubik’s cube is 2 minutes.
