This morning, family, friends, students, faculty and staff all came together at Mass to lift our own Mrs. Lea Bouton in prayer. She was prepped and ready for surgery, stepping in to donate a kidney to a former student, Jesse Batac.
At the last minute, surgery was stopped and rescheduled for July 16th. This was a very unexpected (and honestly heartbreaking) setback for both Lea and Jesse who have been waiting for this day for months.
We hope all can find comfort in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.”
God alone knows the reason for the delay and we trust in Him to ensure a successful transplant, even if it is not a timely one.
In the meantime, we would appreciate everyone keeping Lea, Jesse and their families in prayer. ... See MoreSee Less

As we’re setting up (inside the gym due to high winds and projected rain!) and because of an abundance of treasures, we welcome people to come and shop early.
Keep in mind you’ll be perusing piles, things won’t be completely spread out and set up until tomorrow morning. But we welcome you to come and make a dent in the goods!
Open now until 4pm. Then again tomorrow starting at 8a.
p.s. Huge shoutout to the visiting track and baseball teams from Kodiak and Sitka who are staying at the school overnight - they helped carry loads and loads and LOADS of donations to the gym. Thank you athletes and coaches! ... See MoreSee Less
