As mentioned last week, for any Lumen student who wears their school Mass uniform to church (Catholic parish or otherwise) during this weekend (Jan 29-30), they earn a casual day on Tues, Feb 1.
Finally, I hope you will consider attending our 6th Annual State of the School on Tuesday, Feb 1st at 7pm in the gym. This annual event brings our community together to hear presentations on what we’ve accomplished this year and where we are going in the future. This serves as my quarterly Principal-Parent Forum, so you won’t want to miss it. We hope to live stream the event via Facebook. I hope to see you on Tuesday!

Front Office News:
TWO WEEKS!
So. Many. Great. Things. Happening and the Gala is just 2 weeks away!
First up – there’s a few tickets left in the AK Airlines Raffle – scoop one (or two) up for $50/each, they’re worth $1,250 (each!) and good for anywhere AK Airlines flies. Pretty good return on investment! They’re not going to last much longer, so register today, to buy: https://lchs2022.ggo.bid
Second thing – Door Prizes! Not gonna lie, we were scratching our heads over how to best distribute “virtual” tickets. We now have that dialed in! The night of the auction you simply have to enter your name in the ‘comment’ section of the Facebook live stream feed – members of our crack shot team will be monitoring that and will enter your name into a spreadsheet of assigned numbers. An online random number generator will select the winners of each prize.
Here’s the fine print: you have to have your name entered before 7:10pm. The pre-show starts at 6:45pm, so we recommend you log in early, get your name entered and then get ready for the show which will begin promptly at 7:00pm. More fine print: While there’s no cost to be entered in for a Door Prize Drawing, you must be present online to claim your prize and win.
Door Prize #1 = Airpods Pro
Door Prize #2 = Two nights at the Captain Cook Hotel in a Junior Suite + a $200 gift certificate for the Crow’s Nest
Door Prize #3 = Willow Creek raft trip for four
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
** Register here for the live and silent events, and to purchase AK Airlines Raffle Tickets: lchsak2022.ggo.bid
** Like , Love , Invite and Share our Event on our Facebook Page:(7) Lumen Christi High School Gala/Auction Fundraiser | Facebook
** Keep watching our Facebook Page for more information about……everything!
We’ve still got a few JBER spots left for students who would like to put some time in serving those – who serve us! (Parents are also welcome if you would like to earn Share Hours.) As a reminder, this will be on Wednesday, February 2nd from 3:40-7:00pm at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The school bus will be departing from Lumen Christi at 3:40pm and will return to Lumen at 7:00pm. Students may stay after school, as we will provide food to those who volunteer. Let’s encourage our Lumen students to jump on this amazing opportunity! See Mrs.Guzman to sign-up or send an email to lchs@lumenchristiak.org
