Principal’s Update: We are approaching the end of our time with our awesome Seniors from the Class of 2017 and the end of classes for other grades. Snow is melting and our lives outside are getting busier. The last day of classes is less than a month away!
A special shout out to the great students from our Drama Club who put on two fantastic performances of Agatha Christie’s “The Hollow” last weekend. We know the hard work and commitment our students put into the production and it clearly showed on the stage on Friday and Saturday night. Great job to all and thank you to those supported Mrs. Robertson, the crew, and cast!
As we close out a spirited week of costumes ranging from “Tourist Tuesday” to Wednesday’s “Dynamic Duos and Trios”, we look forward to a special night at Prom this weekend. We appreciate the staff, parents and students who have agreed to set up, decorate, chaperone, and clean up. It is sure to be a great evening!
Next Saturday, on May 6, we are requesting parents and students take time out your busy schedules to come support St. Benedict Parish’s Spring Clean Up Day from 9am-1pm. There is plenty of work to do to make our Church and our School shine, so we hope to see you there. As I have expressed before, St. Benedict’s extend us so many blessings in the form of financial and spiritual assistance. This is a great way to “give back” to the Parish and thank the parishioners for their years of support to our school.
Enjoy the warmer weather and the longer days! God Bless You!
Penny Wars-Deadline has been extended!! The annual competition is in full swing and the Senior class has decided to extend the deadline until Wednesday, May 3rd!!! Here’s how it works…there are 7 jars in the office one for each class plus one for the teachers. The goal is for each class to collect as many pennies as possible but watch out because other classes can put silver coins in another grade’s jar which will count as negative. The contest will end at precisely 2:45pm on Wednesday, May 3rd. The event gets very competitive each year!!! Which class will win this year? The winning class will get to dress down on final exam days. The money raised during this event will go towards the Senior’s Graduation and a charity.
