New School Board Members: Lumen Christi has opened nominations for interested persons willing and to serve on the Lumen Christi School Board. Lumen Christi will elect 3 new members to the School Board. Each new member will serve a 3 year term. Serving on the School Board will meet your annual family share hour requirement. If interested, please contact the front office for an application.
PVO Officers Needed: We are looking for parents who are interested in being Vice President (to shadow Gail to take over as President the following year) and Secretary. The Vice President will assist the President throughout the year on various tasks and help facilitate PVO meetings. The Secretary will attend PVO meetings, take notes, and create a PVO newsletter to communicate PVO news and events to our families. If you questions or are interested in either of these positions, please contact Gail Grafton at: chezgrafton@gmail.com or the front office.
Computer Science Class: Next fall Lumen Christi in cooperation with AKLN and Amplify will be offering an AP Computer Science class. The class is completely online, but support is available 24 hours a day. Last year was the first time they offered the class and all the students scored well on the exam. Registration is now open and spaces are limited so interested students should sign up as soon as possible. Algebra II is recommended for the course. Sign up at: aklearn.net Cost is $200 for the year and that includes the cost of the AP exam in May. See Mrs. Brewer if you want more information.
Summer Nanny Position: Active St. Elizabeth Ann Seton family is in need of a summer nanny. Opening starts in May and will end when school starts Fall 2015. Ideal fit for a teacher looking for summer work or college student. Family will wait until the right candidate is found. Children’s ages are 11, 8, and 5. Candidate needs own transportation.
