Biography
I’m so happy to have joined the Lumen Christi team! A graduate of Dimond High School, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Duke University.
After college, I returned to Alaska and worked for 28+ years for Shannon & Wilson, a local engineering firm, serving as Vice President, Senior Engineer, and Office Manager. I hold Professional Engineer licenses in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
While working full time as an engineer, I was also the head tennis coach at Dimond for over 10 years and was inducted into the Alaska High School Hall of Fame in 2011. I served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Alyeska Ski Club and the Alaska Community Development Authority.
After retiring from engineering, I decided to transition to a second career in education. I taught at South High School and filled numerous long-term substitute positions throughout the Anchorage School District before coming to Lumen Christi. I’m married to my wife Janna and have three children.
